Sungpyo

Hey there—I’m an art director, designer, and illustrator based in NYC, originally from Seoul and a graduate of SVA. I collaborate with brands and creatives to craft visuals that are clear, story-driven, and visually resonant.

My work has been featured at the Emmys, recognized by the ADC, and published in The New York Times— milestones that continue to shape my practice.

I’m drawn to design that feels effortless on the surface yet layered with intention underneath. Always curious about what’s next, I explore visual languages that are fresh, forward-looking, and human at their core.

Take a look at my work—and if it speaks to you, let’s connect and create something meaningful together.

Small Town Secrets
Show Graphics | Vice

For this longform episode about a mysterious small-town case, I began with a title sequence designed to echo the process of investigation—visually unfolding the case step by step to mirror how the mystery gradually comes to light.

Expanding on that idea, I created a cohesive graphic system that carried the investigative narrative across the entire episode, from custom maps to detailed timelines. The design emphasized clarity and flow, using typography, geography, and pacing to guide viewers while maintaining a cinematic tone.
